I am originally from The Netherlands and immigrated with my family to Canada in 2003.
I have been operating my own private clinic for almost 2 decades and was blessed to be able to travel the world to gain more experience and understanding of the issues related to Lymphedema.
I have volunteered several times at the Lymphedema Filariasis clinic in Leogane, Haiti and worked on severe lymphatic and fibrotic tissues which has given me a in-depth understanding how to treat these conditions. the highlight of my career was an amazing internship with Dr. Treadwell at the Institute of Advanced Wound care in Montgomery, Alabama.
These specialized trainings and experiences have given me the passion and drive to offer a unique and diverse platform to treat many areas associated with acute & chronic pain, tightness, swelling, surgical adhesions, scar tissue (mal)formations, limitations in range of motion, and the phases of wound healing.
Many doctors worldwide trust and refer patients to me for my expertise, compassion, and dedication.
With almost 2 decades of hands-on experience in dealing with fascial restrictions and how it affects the body and all of its intrinsicality’s, it is very important to me to understand and apply the techniques learned and to look at the body as a whole, not just one individual system or use only one individual modality.
My unique ability to empathically connect with the body and spirit sets my sessions apart from others. I will use my knowledge and gifts to blend the ideal treatment for each person.
